I am Cheryl Caesar and I’m on the executive board of the Michigan College English Association, and this year I am co-chairing the annual conference here at MSU. I’m very involved in the poetry community here as the secretary to the Lansing Poetry Club. Additionally, I publish poetry internationally, read locally, and help organize poetry events for the Lansing area. This summer I won third prize in the Singapore Poetry Contest, for a poem on the ghost town of Singapore, Michigan, and global warming. I have a chapbook of anti-Trump protest poetry currently making the rounds of publishers. This year I’ve given presentations at the College Composition and Communication Conference and the national College English Association. Some upcoming things I have are talks at the Conference on Community Writing, the Feminist Rhetorics Conference and the Modern Language Association. I teach WRA 1004 and 101 and AL 110.
